Washington State Opportunity Scholarship: Career and Technical Scholarship
Washington State Opportunity Scholarship: Baccalaureate Scholarship
What is it?
The Washington College grant provides tuition at any approved/eligible in-state public college or university, including community or technical colleges, or provide a comparable amount toward tuition and other education-related costs at an approved private college or career training program.
How much can you receive?
Amounts vary based on income, family size, and the school or program attended. Students and families can use the financial aid calculator to estimate their potential WCG award. Recipients must meet program requirements and attend an approved institution or program. Learn more about WCG eligibility and awards.
How do I apply?
There is no separate application for the Washington College Grant. Students should complete a state or federal financial aid application, which colleges will use to determine eligibility and make awards. Application processes for non-campus-based apprenticeship programs have not yet been established.
What is it?
Washington State Opportunity Scholarship’s Career and Technical Scholarship (CTS) supports Washington students on their path to high-demand trade, STEM and health care occupations.
How much can you receive?
Scholars are eligible to receive up to $1,500 each quarter for the duration of their associate degree, certificate or apprenticeship program. These scholarship funds are flexible and can be used to cover tuition, fees and other costs of attendance such as housing, transportation, food and more.
How do I apply?
To be eligible, Scholars must enroll in an approved program, such as welding, manufacturing or IT, at one of Washington’s 34 community and technical colleges.

NOTE: Scholarship applications for the Career and Technical Scholarship have closed, but you can prepare for next year by visiting their website.
What is it?
Washington State Opportunity Scholarship’s Baccalaureate scholarship provides financial aid support and access to career-launching support services for students pursuing high-demand STEM and health care majors.
Funding can be used for any eligible STEM or health care degree at any eligible public or private college or university in Washington state.
How much can you receive?
The Baccalaureate Scholarship provides up to $22,500 in financial aid support. This scholarship can be used to cover tuition, fees and other indirect costs of attendance such as housing, transportation, food and more.
How do I apply?
